On three floors the Zoo-Aquarium has always relied on a cross section of the animal classes of fish, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians and arthropods. The core of the house is the crocodile hall which has been the first visitors walk through animal enclosure in the world.
The Aquarium Berlin accomodates more than 12,000 animals in more than 900 species which makes it the richest in species of its kind. Everyone speaks of biodiversity today, the Zoo-Aquarium Berlin experiences it.
